Winnipeg Wesmen Teams Striving for Playoffs

The push for the playoffs is in full stride after this past weekend’s play both at the Duckworth Centre and on the road. The Men’s Volleyball Team won both matches against the fifth ranked Trinity Western University Spartans while the Women’s Team gave the fifth ranked Spartans all they could handle and more. The Wesmen Basketball Teams were on the road in British Columbia for games against Simon Fraser and Trinity Western and played with great determination and effort as the drive for the playoffs begins.
WESMEN HAVE SUCCESS AGAINST SASKATCHEWAN

The Wesmen had a successful weekend against the Saskatchewan Huskies. The teams combined won five of eight games/matches against their Canada West Conference rivals. The Wesmen Volleyball Teams both completed the weekend with sweeps on the road in Saskatoon. The Women’s Basketball had a huge win on Saturday night defeating the number three ranked Saskatchewan Huskies.

The University of Winnipeg Wesmen Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams were in action this past weekend on the road in British Columbia for a pair of Canada West regular season games against the University of Fraser Valley Cascades and the Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack.
