LOOKING AHEAD:
This weekend the Manitoba Moose will play host to the Toronto Marlies to close-out their four game set at MTS Centre. So far this season, the Moose hold a 2-0-0-0 record against the Maple Leafs affiliate. Historically, Manitoba is 22-8-2-2 against Toronto. Marco Rosa leads all current Moose skaters with three points (1g & 2a) against the Marlies so far this season.
OUTSIDE OF THE NORTH:
So far this season, the Moose have struggled when playing teams outside their own division. When playing their North Division rivals, Manitoba is 12-5-1-0 this season. Yet, when playing a team outside of the North, the Moose are 13-17-4-1. Previous to Saturday’s victory, the Moose had dropped three consecutive games to West Division opponents (Jan. 15, 2-7L vs. Milwaukee; Jan. 16, 2-6L vs. Milwaukee; Feb. 5, 4-5OTL vs. San Antonio).
WORKING OVERTIME:
Manitoba has not found success in the fourth period this season, holding a 2-5 record in overtime games. The tides turn, however, when the game is pushed into a shootout. Manitoba is 7-1 this season in the shooting contest.
